Aid asset discovery with tags.
A tag in New Generation Capture is a term for a collection of assets curated by a back-office user. It allows users to mark specific assets as their favourites or preferred selections. It is a convenient way to bookmark or save assets that users frequently access or find particularly valuable.
The tag page provides an overview of all available tags in your system and gives the user the ability to edit or permanently remove the tags available in the system.
Users can curate their own set of assets that are most relevant or important to them, creating a customised collection based on their specific needs or interests.
Creating a Tag
The tag function enables users to mark or flag individual assets in a selection. This can be done by selecting the asset in Classic Capture and clicking on the Save as Tag button. The user will be prompted to provide a name for the tag and set permissions for collaboration.
The tags are only visible to back-office users.
Actions
Within the Tags page, the user has the ability to edit or delete the tag.
Delete
The Delete button is a feature that allows the users to permanently remove the tags from the Visual Asset Management system. Clicking on the Delete button initiates the deletion process for the selected tag.
Edit
The Edit button enables users to update and modify tag information and permissions.
Summary
Tagged assets are stored in a dedicated Tags section, this allows users to quickly access their preferred assets without having to search or browse through the entire asset library.
By marking assets with tags, users can streamline their workflow and save time. Instead of repeatedly searching for or navigating to specific assets, they can directly access their tagged assets, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Overall, the tagging function allows users to mark and save assets for quick access, personalisation, and efficient workflow management. It enhances the user experience, promotes productivity, and supports collaboration within the Visual Asset Management environment.
