Asset Explorer - Overview

Asset Explorer is a powerful solution for centralising and streamlining digital asset management. With an intuitive, feature-rich interface, it enables users to efficiently track, monitor, and optimise their digital assets while ensuring seamless organisation.

Built with robust security and personalisation, Asset Explorer tailors access based on user permissions, ensuring secure and controlled interactions. Additionally, personalisation settings are saved individually, providing a customised experience that adapts to each user's preferences.

Key Components:

• 1. Search: Enables users to quickly find specific assets and collections with ease. 
  2. Toolbar: Offers quick access to essential functions for seamless workflows.
  3. Navigator: Helps to explore and interact with Collections in a structured, intuitive way.
  4. Actions Panel: Provides users with control over asset-related actions and workflows.
  5. Workspace: The central hub for interacting with assets and Collections.

All five key components are visible to all back office users; however, the information displayed adapts based on user permissions, ensuring relevant access while maintaining data integrity and control.

Search Functionality in Asset Explorer

The Search Bar is conveniently positioned at the top of Asset Explorer, ensuring it remains accessible at all times. This allows users to perform searches without disrupting their ongoing activities.

For more detailed and precise searches, users can utilise Advanced Search. This feature enables refined filtering and deeper asset discovery but temporarily disables other screen interactions while in use.

Toolbar in Asset Explorer

The Toolbar in Asset Explorer provides users with quick access to key actions and customisation options:

1. On the left side of the Toolbar, up to five key actions are displayed for quick access.
2. Asset and Collection Filters enable users to refine their view by filtering assets or collections, ensuring better visibility and organisation within the Workspace.
3. Selection Display indicates the number of selected items and includes an option to clear selections when needed.
4. The Upload button is currently disabled; however, we are actively developing a feature that will enable users to upload assets directly through this function.
5. Includes a Settings icon, enabling users to personalise system settings to suit their workflow.

Customising Your View in Asset Explorer

The Navigator and Actions Panel in Asset Explorer are collapsible, allowing users to customise their workspace based on their needs. Users can choose to:

• Keep both panels open for full access to collections and asset actions.

• Collapse one panel that is not in use to maximise space while retaining key functionality:

This flexibility ensures a tailored user experience, optimising workflow efficiency and screen space as needed.

Understanding Header Elements in Asset Explorer

The Asset Explorer header provides quick access to essential navigation and user tools, ensuring a seamless experience.

1. Capture Logo – A quick-access icon that allows users to return to the Dashboard at any time.
2. Menu Navigation – A dropdown menu that enables users to move between relevant pages within the system, ensuring smooth and efficient navigation.
3. Help Centre Button – Direct access to the Help Centre, where users can find guides, FAQs, and support resources to assist with troubleshooting and best practices.
4. Profile Menu – A user profile section where individuals can manage their account settings, adjust preferences, and log out when needed.
